Six Mile Volunteer Fire Department has been a cornerstone of safety in Hemphill, Texas, and the surrounding East Texas communities. Our department is staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers — neighbors who answer the call not for a paycheck, but because this community is worth protecting.
Based at 9200 State Highway 87 South, we provide round-the-clock emergency medical response, fire suppression, and community education programs. Whether it's a midnight medical emergency or a daytime fire safety workshop at the local school, our crew shows up with the same commitment every single time.
